A Graylag vacation is a great choice for families and friends who want to leave everyday life behind and get close to the natural world of the New England woodlands. Swimming, boating, sailing, fishing, and hiking will energize your days, and evenings are filled with the calls of owls and loons.

Graylag is the perfect place for family reunions and small business retreats. Rent multiple cabins or the entire property.

We provide an environmentally friendly setting without sacrificing such important comforts as firm beds, crisp sheets, hot showers, reading lights, and well-equipped kitchens.  We don’t have TVs because there’s no reception, or power boats because they disturb the stillness of the pond. If you consider a particular amenity essential, just ask.

All our cabins have electricity, hot and cold running water, and full kitchens and bathrooms.

We consider ourselves low-tech, but we understand that our guests may need to check their e-mails from time to time while they’re on vacation. Wireless access is available at a designated location.

"I went to the woods because. . . ."
Henry David Thoreau wrote these words in the great American classic Walden. From his woodland cabin on the shore of a New England pond, Thoreau went on to say that his reason for going to the woods was to live deliberately and simply so that he could learn to live fully.  Thoreau’s thoughts resonate with us, and we believe that Graylag helps guests discover their own reasons for going to the woods.
